Please allow me to introduce myself, my name is Bill Northey. I was born and raised in Chicago, IL, with my seven siblings. Now we live on the central coast of California in a small town called Corralitos. I’m a father of three: Stephanie, 27; Will, 26; and Brenyn, 13. I’m married to my wonderful wife, Cheryl, for 20 years.
When my family fell in love with this wonderful dog and looked for a breeder with puppies available, we found out how few of those dogs there are in the USA and how difficult it is to find breeders or even find information on the breed. We finally did find a breeder and ended up with our two amazing kooikerhondjes, Bunny and Lucy. Bunny is nine months and Lucy is four months. These girls give us so much love and happiness that we would not know what to do without them.
In my profession organizing is the name of the game and as such I have a good handle on making work flow through the system easily and here I believe I could help the club. Assisting with the Kooiker Fall Frolics, Shows, getting written articles from writers to our newsletter editor is all stuff Bunny, Lucy and I could assist with.
I would be honored to be part of the KCUSA board, as such I will uphold the breed standard as outlined by the Kooikerhondje Club of the USA and I will do all to promote this breed and its club. We will support the breed in every way possible to further it, make it better known and teach people at shows and events about this breed, its special purpose in life and its specific characteristics.
