My love affair with Kooikerhondje began one Christmas morning, looking through “The World Encyclopedia of Dogs” wanting a smaller Sporting breed that needs less grooming than English Setters. I found the perfect dog—Kooikerhondje! We adore ours.

Owning and competing with purebred dogs for 60 years led to little real understanding of AKC & Dog Sports until I got active in regional AKC Breed-specific and All-Breed clubs—the organizations that put on local AKC events. Years exhibiting and training dogs are just the barest foundation for understanding the many facets of the sport.

My experience makes me well-qualified to help KCUSA along the path to full recognition & into the Sporting Group, continuing the last 11 months’ work, bringing policies & actions of KCUSA into line with our Constitution & Bylaws as well as AKC’s practices, policies & traditions
