Hi! My name is Sally Birgl. I have owned, shown in breed, obedience, rally and hunt tests for over 30 years. For a short time, I handled other breeds for friends, but my main breed has been vizslas. About 8 years ago I added Tibetan Terriers and more recently—about 2 years ago—I added a Kooikerhondje, Sushi (Suusje). I’ve held many positions in various clubs including treasurer, show chair, membership chair, vice president, and AKC delegate. I am currently on your board of directors, Vice President for my local kennel club, obedience chair for their point show and an approved AKC judge of vizslas. My main concern with my dogs has always been health and temperament. All health tests have always been done for every dog and I have never bred any dog with less than good hips—male or female. I look forward to continuing the work that has been started on the Dog Welfare Committee. Whether or not I’m nominated to a board position I will uphold the breed standard as outlined by the Kooikerhondje Club of the USA and I will do all to promote this breed and its club.
